Who are we?

We offer management for charter vessels within Indonesia based on the scope of work agreed. This varies from full management of tourism charter vessels through to more support based contracts such as support and maintenance. Clients can choose their scope of work depending on how involved they themselves wish to be in the operations of the vessel.

The management team at Segara Marine have a proven track record in construction and fit-outs over the last decade. We can work with you on your projects thru the business modelling, consultation with architects, construction supervision, equipment sourcing and business set-up. Through our full set of services customers may also choose to place their completed vessel under management for the operational stage. Navigating Indonesian customs and regulations is an important factor to be taken into consideration by any potential investor, and, Segara Marine will work with you, hand in hand, to reduce any potential risks in the process.

General Manager
Fabien, from France, started his working life in Quality Control management in the Engineering and Nuclear Industry, after he graduated from University with a Master degree in Industrial Management. Based on this experience, he jumped into a new challenge, by leading the quality department of one the biggest retail gift shop chains in France, combined with a buyer position. He re-enforced his vast experience in regulatory compliance, systems management and quality control. In 2008, Fabien moved to Indonesia to work as a dive instructor, cruise director, and then manager within the diving industry. Fabien joined Segara Marine in September 2018 and brings his knowledge of diving, cruising, quality control and process management to his role as “Operational & Contract Manager”.

Rudy Priatna

Engineering and Project Manager
Rudy, Indonesian, with more than 12 years’ experience working for multiple luxury touring vessels utilizing his skills as an interior designer to assist various maritime projects, such as retrofitting complete vessels, mast & rigging design and general operations. Rudy was approached to join the operational team of a major project involving the construction of a 60 metre wooden schooner. 4 years later, upon completion, he gained a further 4 years’ experience at sea working as assistant cruise director, and technical assistant to the deck and engineering departments. Rudy now provides invaluable technical support to the Chief Engineers and Captains of every vessel we manage. He is also very knowledgeable of the ever developing maritime laws and regulations in Indonesia to help you keep up to date with your vessel documentation. He also enjoys expanding his skills in AutoCAD on various design projects we undertake here at Segara Marine.

Erna Mastini

HR & Administration & Logistics
Erna has a degree in Social Politics and Communication, she started her career in Yogyakarta in event management for product launches, weddings and corporate business. Her organisational skills are fundamental to ensure the smooth operation of the company. Ernas career in marine management and human resources started in 2014 while working for a luxury phinisi. Since then she has gained extensive experience in dealing with suppliers in Indonesia and abroad. Erna manages all crew details from contracts, payroll, vacation periods along with the financial commitments of Segara Marine.

Indra Sigit

Chief Financial Officer
Indra SIgit graduated from the University of Undiknas, Denpasar, Bali in 1991 with a major in accountancy. He has over 20 years experience in finance and has gained his knowledge by managing the finance and accounting departments of multiple companies in the marine and export industry. His expertise is consolidating company's financial reports both locally and overseas. He has 5 years of experience working as Financial Controller at a high-volume cruise passenger company in Benoa. His Last position was as Chief Finance Officer at a fashion export company that has customers around the world. At Segara Marine, he is in charge as CFO to ensure all functions of finance and accounting are running well in order to meet our client’s expectations. He is also responsible for the budget & finance forecasts and variances, taxations and to overall improve internal control and to streamline the reporting system for Segara Marine clients.

Jace Green

Charter Production Manager & Assistant Operational Manager
After a career spanning almost 20 years in food & beverage, bar and restaurant management that stretched across the world including USA, The Caribbean, Europe and UK, Jace decided it was time for him to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming an underwater cameraman. He moved to Thailand in 2005 to learn to dive and make underwater films, 6 years later he moved to Indonesia to film and explore the rich tropical waters here. Soon after his first live-aboard experience he realized there was potential for operators to benefit from his vast hospitality knowledge in order to assist them improve the levels of service and overall quality onboard. In 2014 his first job in the industry was Cruise Director for a fleet of 4 luxury Phinisis’ covering all the finest diving spots from Raja Ampat, Komodo, Alor and beyond. After 3 years he then moved on to more exclusive high-end vessels that mostly specialized in private charters.

Claudia Gretta Firstiasa

Operational Assistant
Gretta graduated from Universitas Gadjah Mada in Yogyakarta in 2015. She then moved to Bali to start her career in marine management. She now has seven years’ experience managing luxury phinisi vessels and superyacht charters mostly in the Komodo and Raja Ampat regions. When it comes to managing ocean expeditions, she usually handles documentation, clearances, and operational procedures to ensure the smooth operations of each and every luxury charter. Gretta is our go-to sourcing expert, if your client has an obscure request we are confident she can tell us if it is possible.

Trianto

Operational Processes
Trianto has been working in the marine industry for 23 years. Starting his career in the transport department at a mining company where he ensured all of the cargo ships documents and clearance procedures were in order. Over time, he also became responsible for coordinating maintenance activities and supervising all dry dock periods and eventually rose to the position of senior operations manager. Trianto is now responsible for making sure all our vessels documents are up to date, all safety equipment is maintained and serviced, liaising between agents and transportation departments, dry docking & maintenance periods and communications between the maintenance teams and the Captains and engineering crew.

Ni Komang Ayu Trisna Dewi

Technical Operations Assistant
Ayu started her working career in 2017 at Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali as a VIP assistant. After that, she continued as an administrative assistant in the field of telecommunications and finally as admin and purchasing at a multimedia sound and security company. Ayu provides support as Rudy’s assistant and helps to organise and complete request and purchase orders from construction projects and technical operations. She also assists to collect the data of the daily project workers along with collecting bunker record data for each boat we manage. Ayu also looks after the delivery and receipt of all items that we send or receive to our vessels while in the field.

Ida Ayu Deby Sintyari

HR Assistant & General Administration
Deby has a degree in Psychology and graduated from Universitas Surabaya in 2017. After graduation, she started her career in Human Resources for a Balinese tea manufacturing company for approximately 5 years. She shifted her career to marine management with us in 2022 to expand her knowledge and experience a new industry as assistant to Erna. Her role is assisting the human resources department with crew details ranging from contracts, BPJS, NPWP and other administration related to the crew of Segara Marine.

Wayan Diarta

Finance / Accounting
Initially graduated with a diploma in finance and banking in 2008, Wayan extended his skills by studying undergraduate accounting, and got the diploma in 2011, at Udayana University. He is tax training certified and he worked handling accounting and tax for more than 11 years. He is able to calculate and report monthly taxes (PPh 21, PPh 23, Taxes 4 Paragraph 2) & annual corporate and individual taxes. At Segara Marine he is in charge of the accounting departement, and his responsibilities include client data entry into the Xero accounting system, creating tax reports every month and controls the accounting system for Segara Marine clients.

Ni Putu Meidyani

Accounting Assistant
Meidyani studied for 4 years for a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting, she graduated from Politeknik Negeri Bali in 2017. She took her first job in accounting in the automotive industry in 2016 while still studying, before moving on to permanent employment in finance and general cost accounting. After 3 years in this position, she joined us to expand her knowledge in a new industry and become assistant to Wayan. Her role includes assisting our accountant with data entry to Xero, preparing payments, and checking the banking reconciliations.

Ikwanto

Hospitality and Operations
Iwan, Indonesian, has been working in the marine industry for over 10 years and provides a very specific skill set to the team at Segara Marine. Beginning his career in hospitality he holds a Diploma in Food Production Management and is a qualified chef. His love of boats saw him head out to sea where he has worked as a chef and as a chef trainer for numerous liveaboards both in Indonesia and abroad. Notably, he worked for a large international liveaboard fleet for 7 years and worked his way up to operations manager, which also included supervising refit and dry dock procedures. Iwan works in operations within our team, can freelance, fill in or train the chefs, over sees purchasing and budgets, manages day to day logistics and puts his boots back on when it's time to hit dry dock. Iwan joined Segara Marine in January 2018.

Agustian

Head of Captains & Operations
Agustian joined the Segara Marine team in January 2018 and brings with him 24 years of marine experience and expertise as a Captain. He began his career as a deckhand on fishing boats, notably for Australian companies working out of West Papua. During his time at sea he has climbed the career ladder and most recently reached the position of “Pinisi Captain” category ANT 3. Additionally, his ability to train and support the Captains on the boats, plus his engineering knowledge has proven invaluable. During his temporary rotations on our managed vessels he shares his experience and gives guidance to all the crews. Passionate about the ocean, he has also had the opportunity during all his years of navigation and sea time, to scuba dive in a large percentage of the sites offered in the beautiful Indonesian Archipelago.

Ismail Tatatli

Operations/Captain
Hailing originally from Makatara in the chain of islands known as Sanghie Talaud, sitting off the far north east of Sulawesi. Straight out of high school Ismail signed up for a level 3 diploma in Management of Commercial Shipping & Ports at Indonesias Maritime Academy in Makassar with intentions of becoming a harbour master. 4 years later he was qualified and wanted to get some experience at sea, this is when is passion for the ocean and all the freedom it offers began. He started out as deck hand on cargo ships, a few years later he then moved to diving and tourist Phinisi’s. Later he became Chief Officer and crewed tugboats in Samarinda with cargo loads of 7,000 tonnes before joining one of the vessels under our management and becoming a Class IV captain. Now, with well over 20 years’ experience in the maritime industry, Ismail is a valuable member of our team and provides support to all our vessels in engineering, technical and relief positions.

Simon Marsh

Marine Surveyor
Simon is from the UK and worked in the Electronics and Financial Services industries for ten years before following a dream to become a professional SCUBA diver. After seven years working in the Caribbean, he moved to Indonesia in 2011 and now lives on the island of Bali. Simon has worked in a variety of maritime roles. He worked his way up to become Captain of three Caribbean liveaboard vessels and, in Indonesia, worked at a high end resort and then as Cruise Director, Boat Manager and Operations Manager for a small, mid to high end, liveaboard fleet. More recently Simon has worked on Superyachts providing yacht logistical support and facilitating their trips in Indonesian waters. Simon is a qualified Marine Surveyor and has been providing surveying services on behalf of Segara Marine since the start of 2021 and is an Associate Member of the Society of Marine Engineers and Marine Surveyors.
